Strong. Conservative. Leader.

“Idaho is a great state. With the right leaders, the right priorities and the right values, we can be even better. I’m not a career politician. I’m the conservative businessman running for Lieutenant Governor.”

—Steve Yates

I share a special relationship with Taiwan. As a missionary to southern Taiwan at age 19, I lived through a pivotal time in their country's history as they moved away from martial law and into democracy. Over the years, I've maintained close relationships with both people in Taiwan and many who have come to the United States.

Idaho also shares a special relationship with the country of Taiwan. Just this week, Idaho and Taiwanese officials announced a US wheat export agreement worth $576 million (you can read more below). Their country considers Idaho "one of the most important and reliable partners of Taiwan." The Taiwanese people are one of the most avid customers of Idaho products, and as Idaho's Lieutenant Governor, I look forward to continuing and strengthening this special relationship.
